There are thousands of “best tools” lists on GitHub — the ones that rank on Google and get browsed by developers hunting for exactly what you built. CherryPick works out which ones your product genuinely belongs in, writes each submission the way that list wants it, and sends them for you. You approve everything first.

How it works
Each one wants entries written a particular way, in a particular section, and most have opinions about who's allowed in. Get it wrong and you're ignored — or remembered as the person who spammed them. CherryPick handles the fiddly parts so your submission reads like it came from someone who actually read the guidelines.
Sign in with GitHub and pick your project. We read your description, your site and your docs to work out what you've built and who it's for.
We check 1,000+ directories against what you made — the topic, the audience, whether they allow paid products, and whether anyone still runs them.
We write your entry for each list, in that list's own style and section, and show you exactly what will be sent. Approve the ones you like, drop the rest.
Submissions go out under your own name. Your dashboard shows what got accepted, what needs a small change, and what's gone quiet.
What we know
We've indexed 1,000+ directories. Most of them aren't worth your time — abandoned, off-topic, or closed to submissions — so we only ever submit to the ones that pass. At most 20 reach you. Firing off two hundred submissions is easy; working out which twenty are worth doing is the part that takes forty hours.
No spam, by design
Mass-submitting to these lists is the fastest way to get blocked, and it sticks to your project afterwards. Every rule below exists because the alternative damages the thing you're trying to promote.
Pricing

FAQ
Curated collections of tools that live on GitHub — things like “awesome-cli-apps” or “free-for-dev”. Some have tens of thousands of followers, most rank high on Google for searches like “best API testing tools”, and developers genuinely browse them when looking for something to use. Getting added is free; the catch is that each one has its own rules about how to ask, and no central place to do it.
No. You sign in, we show you a list of places your product fits, you tick the ones you're happy with. We handle the formatting, the etiquette and the sending. You never have to touch a pull request or read a contributing guide — that's the entire point of paying for this.
No — and the difference is the whole product. Spam is volume without relevance. We only submit where your product genuinely belongs, written the way that list asks for it, with you approving each one. The person on the other end gets a tidy, on-topic addition to their list. Plenty of our submissions get a thank you.
Because choosing is the product. Anyone can fire off two hundred requests; knowing the twenty that belong is the hard bit. We hold back more lists than we submit to — the example above found 27 that fit and recommended 14.
It's built specifically to avoid that. GitHub's rules prohibit bulk promotional activity, so we don't do any: no mass-sending, no promotional messages where they're unwelcome, every submission approved by you and sent at a human pace. When you're ready to send, you connect GitHub with access limited to public repositories. We never request access to your private repositories, and we disconnect it when your campaign is complete.
Some will. That's why we show you each list's track record before anything is sent, and why we hold back the ones that look unlikely — a submission to a list that won't accept you costs you a slot and gets you nothing. You'll see the reasoning for every list we recommend and every list we skip.
Anything aimed at developers or technical people — tools, apps, APIs, libraries, AI products, side projects, paid SaaS. If the people you want are the sort who'd search GitHub for a tool like yours, there are lists waiting for you.
You can, and it's free. It takes an afternoon to find the lists, about a week to work out what each one wants, and ongoing attention to chase replies. We turn that into ten minutes of ticking boxes for $49/year. Your call on what your time is worth.
Connect your repo, review your matches, approve your PRs. Done in ten minutes.
